Ohio

The Ohio muzzleloader season is a great time for black powder enthusiasts to hunt deer, wild turkey and other big game. Early season hunting is the best time to go after deer since they haven’t been spooked off by other shots and hunters yet. During the Ohio Muzzleloader Hunting Season, a muzzleloading rifle must be .38 caliber or larger and muzzleloading shotgun must be 10-gauge or smaller using one ball per barrel.
